LAID Fresh (250 NW 24th St, Wynwood) is the new fast casual concept from the team that brought your KYU, bringing an airy, egg-forward, all day eatery that fills a void in the neighborhood for quick, satisfying fare.
Menu highlights: LAID Fresh offers an egg-forward menu, highlighting local farm fresh eggs prepared in a myriad of ways, in sandwich or salad form. The menu also features fried chicken sandwiches (because that’s where eggs come from), gluten-free options, and sweet treats.
Favorites include The Laid Egg, kind of like a potato latke meets eggs benedict with soft boiled eggs, crispy herb potato, macon marmalade, and hollandaise; the Tomato Mozzarella with local Mimmos mozzarella, tomato, basil, fresh chilies, and fried eggs; and Fresh Beignets for a warm, sugary, and satisfying dessert.
Standout dishes: The true standouts are the egg sandwiches, all prepared on a fresh daily, toasted potato brioche bun, which serves as the perfect vessel for all those beautiful egg juices, no matter how you like them.
